A REALIZAÇÃO VARIÁVEL DO FONEMA /V/ NO PORTUGUÊS BRASILEIRO:

REVISITANDO ESTUDOS DOS ANOS 2000 - 2017

Resumo

Este estudo é uma revisão bibliográfica de trabalhos realizados nos últimos 17 anos a respeito da realização variável do fonema /v/ no português brasileiro, com o objetivo de localizar a região em que o fenômeno acontece com maior frequência, bem como as metodologias empregadas e os fatores linguísticos e sociais que contribuem para a realização da variante inovadora. Para alcançar tais objetivos foram selecionados artigos que estivessem disponíveis nas bases de dados do Portal de Periódicos Capes e também no Google Acadêmico, no caso de periódicos, aqueles selecionados foram com Qualis B3 ou acima. Em relação específica à variável escolhida, apenas dois estudos dissertaram sobre ela, sendo que os outros dissertaram sobre a realização variável de fricativas como /v/, /z/ e /ʒ/, revelando uma escassez de estudos sobre o fenômeno em questão. Verificamos também que o fenômeno variável é favorecido por condições sociais como nível de escolaridade e faixa-etária, não sendo unânime a variável sexo, que em apenas um estudo o gênero feminino foi o favorecedor do uso da variante inovadora na faixa etária de 15 e 25 anos. Em relação a fatores linguísticos os mais favorecedores foram: contexto subsequente, tonicidade, posição silábica. Já em relação à metodologia empregada, somente um estudo fez teste de atitudes, indicando a necessidade de mais estudos empregando esses testes para se traçar um perfil de identidade do falante.

ABSTRACT: This study is a literature review of other studies done in the last seventeen years in relation to the variable use of the phoneme /v/ in Brazilian Portuguese, its aim was locating the region which the phenomenon happens with greater frequency, as well as the methodologies employed and the linguistic and social features that contribute to the use of the new variable. In order to achieve the aims, articles available from Portal de Periódico Capes as well as from the Google Scholar, in the case of journals from Capes, the ones selected were qualified as B3 or higher. In relation to the chosen variable, only two studies researched about it, and the others talked about variable uses of fricatives such as /v/, /z/ e /ʒ/, revealing a lack of studies concerning only the chosen phenomenon. It was also found that the variable phenomenon is favored by social features as the level of schooling and age, but the variable sex was not the same in all studies, since in only one of the studies the female gender favored the use of the new variant. In relation to linguistic features, the most favorable ones were: subsequent context, stress, position in the syllable. In relation to the employed methodology, only one study performed and attitude test, indicating the need of more studies using these tests in order to trace an identity profile of the speaker.
