DESENVOLVIMENTO HISTÓRICO DA ESCOLA DE FRANKFURT

Abstract

O objetivo deste artigo é discorrer sobre a origem histórica e ideológica da Escola de Frankfurt na Alemanha. As situações históricas de unificação do Estado Alemão, bem como o crescimento do movimento operário constituídos a partir da derrocada marxista e engeliana em contraposição ao movimento da chamada razão instrumental de Hegel, provocaram uma efervescência política e econômica determinante para as revoluções do XIV e do XX. Tais fatos chamaram a atenção dos intelectuais da época e se tornou objeto de estudo do Instituto de Pesquisa Social que mais tarde se chamaria Escola de Frankfurt. O problema em questão é propor um entendimento claro e objetivo que fuja da fragmentação de alguns autores ao tratarem do tema. A hipótese aventada é a de que o movimento que envolveu Adorno, Horkheimer e outros, não foi em si um movimento coeso e por isso a dificuldade desses autores. Trabalha-se com a pesquisa bibliográfica, recorrendo-se a comentadores do tema que tenham boa repercussão acadêmica. Espera-se por resultado, novas discussões sobre a Escola, além de instigar a leitura dos originais desses grandes expoentes do pensamento contemporâneo.

ABSTRACT: The purpose of this article is to discuss the historical and ideological origin of the Frankfurt School in Germany. The historical situations of unification of the German State, as well as the growth of the labor movement constituted from the Marxist and Engelian overthrow in opposition to the movement of the called instrumental reason of Hegel, provoked a political and economic effervescence decisive for the revolutions of the XIV and the XX . These facts attracted the attention of the intellectuals of the time and became object of study of the Institute of Social Research that later would be called School of Frankfurt. The problem in question is to propose a clear and objective understanding that escapes the fragmentation of some authors when dealing with the theme. The hypothesis put forward is that the movement involving Adorno, Horkheimer and others was not in itself a cohesive movement and therefore the difficulty of these authors. We work with the bibliographical research, resorting to commentators of the subject that have good academic repercussion. As a result, new discussions about the School are expected, as well as instigating the reading of the originals of these great exponents of contemporary thought.
