A REVELL – Revista de Estudos Literários da UEMS (ISSN 2179-4456) é resultado de ações de pesquisas desenvolvidas nos cursos de Graduação e Pós-graduação em Letras da Universidade Estadual de Mato Grosso do Sul – UEMS e funciona como um espaço de interação entre pesquisadores do Brasil e de outros países. Seu principal objetivo é contribuir com os estudos das diversas literaturas por meio a publicação de artigos e ensaios oriundos de pesquisas sérias, consistentes e de qualidade, e que tenham caráter e comprometimento científico, das diferentes instituições de ensino superior do Brasil e exterior. A revista compreende uma ação conjunta do Curso de Letras da UEMS de Campo Grande, do Grupo de pesquisa Estudos de Narratividade, do Núcleo de Estudos Historiográficos de Mato Grosso do Sul – NEHMS e do Programa de Pós-graduação em Letras da Universidade Estadual de Mato Grosso do Sul.

DOSSIER/SPECIAL ISSUE: Poetry and Image in 20th and 21st-Century Portuguese Literature

 Editors: Rita Novas Miranda (Sorbonne Université), Joana Meirim (Universidade Nova de Lisboa) and André Luiz do Amaral (Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul)

 

Proposal: As Rosa Maria Martelo (2012) argues, two predominant modes of conceptualizing the image in Portuguese poetry can be identified from the 1960s onwards: one of a rhetorical and figural nature, sustained by the use of metaphor and linked to the notion of the mental image; and another more closely associated with experimentalism, textual materiality, and visuality. These trends — complementary and at times overlapping — trace back to the very emergence of poetic modernity in Baudelaire and Mallarmé. Their effects remain identifiable in contemporary manifestations that explore interartistic practices and conceptualize poetry as an expanded field. ithin this critical horizon, this dossier seeks to gather articles that address these and other forms of dialogue between Poetry and Image in modern and contemporary Portuguese literature.
