VARIAÇÃO LINGUÍSTICA EM MEMES DO SURICATE SEBOSO: BREVES CONSIDERAÇÕES PARA O ENSINO DE LÍNGUA PORTUGUESA

Abstract

Neste artigo, colocamos em discussão a representação de fenômenos linguísticos variáveis em memes do Suricate Seboso e o ensino de Língua Portuguesa. A partir dessa temática, traçamos dois objetivos, a saber: (i) analisar quais são os fenômenos de variação representados nos memes selecionados para este estudo e (ii) refletir sobre algumas possibilidades de trabalhar a questão da variação linguística a partir de memes do Suricate Seboso nas aulas da disciplina de Língua Portuguesa. Para atingir tais objetivos, selecionamos quatro memes para análise a fim de identificar quais fenômenos variáveis são representados nos memes que constituem o corpus deste estudo. Com base em uma metodologia descritiva-reflexiva, procuramos, ainda, construir algumas reflexões acerca da possibilidade de usarmos memes do Suricate Seboso enquanto ferramenta didática nas aulas da disciplina de Língua Portuguesa. No que se refere ao aporte teórico da pesquisa, embasamos este artigo em trabalhos vinculados ao campo de estudos da Sociolinguística (CALVET, 2002; LABOV, 2006, 2008; WEINREICH; LABOV; HERZOG, 2006; CAMACHO, 2012; BORTONI-RICARDO, 2014; LUCCHESI, 2015). As análises realizadas no âmbito desta pesquisa revelam que, nos quatro memes selecionados para análise, é possível identificar fenômenos de variação marcados pelo enfraquecimento de segmentos sonoros, como no caso das fricativas [s], [v] e [ʒ]; o apagamento ou supressão de sons no início, no interior e no fim de palavras; a redução ou apagamento de segmentos sonoros; a representação de fenômenos variáveis marcados pelo acréscimo de segmentos; a passagem de um segmento a outro; identificamos, ainda, mudanças nos diferentes tipos ou estilos de linguagem, conforme mudam as identidades ou papéis sociais dos interlocutores representados nos memes analisados aqui. Além disso, enxergamos, a partir dos memes estudados, a possibilidade de trabalhá-los nas aulas de Língua Portuguesa como ferramenta didática para a identificação de diferentes fenômenos de variação linguística que podem ser verificados no atual Português do Brasil (doravante PB) falado em diferentes regiões do país. Além disso, compreendemos que os memes do Suricate Seboso abrem espaço para que possamos trabalhar fenômenos de variação linguística que estão relacionados à outras variedades de fala que não somente à variedade culta. Diante disso, concluímos que, nos memes do Suricate Seboso analisados por nós, há a representação, ainda que não fiel, de diferentes fenômenos de variação linguística e que o uso de tais fenômenos suscita diferentes questões acerca da heterogeneidade linguística do PB que podem, e certamente devem, ser trabalhas no ensino de língua materna.

ABSTRACT: In this paper we discuss the representation of variable linguistic phenomena in the Suricate Seboso memes in the teaching of the Portuguese language. From this, we outline two objectives, namely: (i) to analyze what the variation phenomena represented in the memes selected for this study are, and (ii) to reflect on some possibilities to address the issue of linguistic variation from Suricate Seboso memes in Portuguese language classes. To achieve these goals, we selected four memes for analysis to identify which variable phenomena are represented in the memes that constitute the corpus of this study. Based on a descriptive-reflective methodology, we also built some reflections on the possibility of using Suricate Seboso memes as a didactic tool in the teaching of the Portuguese language. Regarding the theoretical contribution of the research, we base this article on works related to the field of studies of Sociolinguistics (CALVET, 2002; LABOV, 2006, 2008; WEINREICH; LABOV; HERZOG, 2006; CAMACHO, 2012; BORTONI-RICARDO, 2014; LUCCHESI, 2015). The analysis carried out within this research revealed that, in the four memes selected for the analysis, it is possible to identify phenomena of variation marked by the weakening of sound segments, as in the case of fricatives [s], [v] and [ʒ]; the deletion or suppression of sounds at the beginning, inside and end of words; the reduction or deletion of sound segments; the representation of variable phenomena marked by the addition of segments; the passage from one segment to another; We also identify changes in the different types or styles of language, as the identities or social roles of the interlocutors represented in the memes analyzed here change. In addition, we see, from the studied memes, the possibility of exercising them in Portuguese classes as a didactic tool for the identification of different phenomena of linguistic variation that can be verified in the current Brazilian Portuguese (hereafter BP) spoken in diferent regions of the country. In addition, we understand that Suricate Seboso memes make room for us to work on the phenomena of linguistic variation that are related to varieties of speech other than just cultured variety. Therefore, we conclude that, in the Suricate Seboso memes analyzed by us, there is a representation, although not faithful, of different phenomena of linguistic variation and that the use of such phenomena raise different questions about the linguistic heterogeneity of BP that can, and definitely should be used in mother tongue teaching.
