Identidade nacional latino-americana na escritura de Sylvia Iparraguirre

Abstract

This article presents a discussion on Latin American aesthetic forms, more specifically on the formation of national identities transformed within the narratives, through the writing of Sylvia Iparraguirre (2001) in the novel Land of Fire. The justification occurs as a result of the processes of decentering individuals, both their social and cultural place and the processes of hybridity. The study aims to characterize the identity of the Latin American subject in the midst of cultural diversity, understand how individuals are subjectively formed through social relations and demonstrate the process through which national identities are formed and transformed within the narrative representation. In a sense of belonging, the subject's subjective identity is articulated in the face of a historical and social reality. To meet the proposed objectives, it was necessary to understand the concept of Latin America, since it presents itself as a multiple, plural, mobile and variable construction, resulting from the processes of colonization and miscegenation, as well as deepen the concepts of transculturation and acculturation. That said, a qualitative and bibliographic methodology was adopted, with results anchored in narratives of an exploratory nature, whose theoretical bases are based on Hall (2011), Coutinho (2003), Mignolo (2005), Cardoso (2008), among others, in order to assist in the critical exercise on the topic under study.
