Review of the work: COVID-19, ENVIRONMENT, AND PUBLIC POLICIES.
Published in 2020, the book "COVID-19, Environment, and Public Policies" was edited by Carlos Eduardo Frickmann Young, Full Professor at the Institute of Economics of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (IE/UFRJ), where he leads the Environmental Economics and Sustainable Development Group (GEMA/IE/UFRJ), and by João Felippe Cury M. Mathias, also a professor, serving as Associate IV at the Institute of Economics at UFRJ in the fields of Macroeconomics (undergraduate) and Economic and Social Statistics (graduate/PPED).
Written by researchers from the Group of Studies on Economics and the Environment and Sustainable Development at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (GEMA/IE/UFRJ), the work aimed to contribute to the debate on the pandemic, public policies, and sustainable development. Throughout the reading and the presentation of the work itself, it is understood that the chapters reflect the different perspectives of the authors and the possible connections of COVID-19 with public policies, with a focus on economic and environmental areas.
