Among the article, the author presents a detailed survey of the vineyards and wineries of the Province of Jujuy, in key to the development of regional tourism; through the promotion of the "wine road" in “high-land” Quebrada de Humahuaca and temperate climate of the southern province. In this sense, the agronomic and oenological characteristics are described; while trying to show the local wine terroir and its potential, according to the services offered, accessibility and tourism potential. All this, in view of the increasing production of wines with "geographical indication", growth of tourism and generation of employment new sources. Thus, the territory is understood as a contradictory area, between different land uses and where the real estate market operates, with the consequent appreciation of the land; driven both by tourism industry and by the emerging wine production.
