In this article, we aim to recover Lúcio Cardoso’s participation of in Revista Branca, founded and directed by Saldanha Coelho in 1948. Lúcio contributed with two texts to the magazine: the poem "Agora" in 1948; and "O véu da manhã", a review of a poetry book written by Elcio Xavier, a writter of the journal. In the first part of this article, we will present Lúcio's incursions into poetry, as a poet and as a critic. The second part will be dedicated to analyses Lúcio's review, which led us to Elcio Xavier himself, a writer who actively participated in the group of Revista Branca and who not only gave us a brief testimony reporting his participation in the journal, but also recalled his contact with Lúcio Cardoso. Finally, in the third part, we present the poem "Agora", which remains unpublished, followed by a brief analysis. In this analysis, we will establish a dialogue between the Lúcio’s poem and the painting The Annunciation, by the Italian painter Fra Angelico. In addition, we will compare the poem "Agora" with two other homonyms poems written by Lúcio Cardoso, the first one published in Poemas inéditos; the second one, recovered by Ésio Macedo Ribeiro from the writer's collection and included in the section "Poemas Póstumos" of Poesia completa.
