Abstract

This study proposes a didactic sequence for teaching hydrodynamics in the first year of high school, using PhET Colorado simulators and aligned with the São Paulo state curriculum. The approach integrates interactive simulations to explore fundamental concepts such as flow, pressure, and fluid energy. One of the main motivations for this proposal is the high dropout rate in Physics, particularly in complex topics like hydrodynamics, which lack specific teaching materials in the state curriculum. The didactic sequence planned with PhET aims to facilitate understanding, encourage active learning, and increase student engagement. Although designed for full-time schools, it can be adapted to regular education, considering time constraints and complementary strategies for meaningful learning.
