Resumen

La novela gráfica británica Heartstopper Vol. 1 (2016) narra la historia de Charlie y Nick en su búsqueda por encontrar sus propias identidades. Ella fue ilustrada y escrita por Alice May Oseman. Durante sus viajes, ellos deben enfrentar muchos desafíos, como el aislamiento y la homofobia. Según Borrillo (2010), la homofobia es un fenómeno multifacético relacionado con el aislamiento social que merece una extensa investigación científica. Sin embargo, existen pocas investigaciones sobre la homofobia en las novelas gráficas (RIVAS, 2021; ALLEN, 2022; SCHAUER, 2022). Por lo tanto, este estudio tiene como objetivo identificar e investigar las múltiples facetas de la homofobia en Heartstopper Vol. 1 (2016). Una investigación más profunda ha descubierto cuatro tipos diferentes de homofobias: cognitiva, general, específica e irracional. Estos diversos actos homofóbicos han influido directamente en la libertad y el bienestar de estos personajes.
